Seelenstücke/Soulchards, 2019-present

Diese Serie beschäftigt sich mit den sogenannten Seelenstücken. Das sind die Teile unserer Seele, die sich abspalten, wenn die Seele erschüttert wird. Auslöser sind frühkindliche Traumata.Diese Arbeit beruht auf der Lektüre psychoanalytischer Werke, vorallem Donald W. Winnicott: Die Angst vor dem Zusammenbruch und das ungelebte Leben.

Wenn man erkennt, dass man sich selbst gar nicht kennt, weil die meisten Stücke des eigenen Ichs verteilt, durchlöchert und losgelöst umherrirren, dann muss man sich auf die schmerzhafte Suche nach ihnen machen. Sie zu zeichnen hilft, sie anzusehen, sie kennenzulernen und ihre losen Enden vielleicht wieder miteinander zu verknüpfen, sodass am Ende ein vollständigeres Bild entsteht.

This series is about the so called "Seelenstücke"/soulchards, pieces of our soul that had to be split off after being traumatised in early childhood. This artwork is based on the reading of psychoanalitics such as Donald W. Winnicott: The Fear of Breakdown and the Unlived Life.
 
If you realize that you don't know yourself, as most of your inner self is spread around, perforated and detached there is only one thing to do: go on the painful journey to find those pieces, see through them, get to know them and maybe put them back together to get a more complete picture of yourself. I paint to try this.
